A short list beats a long shelf.
Peak Practice Lab publishes buying guides for people who train on their own time: at the range, in the cage, in the driveway, in the garage.
What this site is
Most gear roundups describe ten products and leave the choosing to you. These guides do the opposite. Each one is written for a specific reader, commits to one winner, and explains when a different pick makes more sense.
There are 179 guides so far across golf, baseball, basketball and wellness.
Who writes it
I’m Aidan, a lifelong multi-sport athlete who got tired of gear reviews that never said what I needed to know before spending money. Peak Practice Lab is the site I wanted when I was putting together my own practice setup.
The guides are research, not lab reports. When a writeup says a glove breaks in slowly or a rangefinder struggles in fog, that comes from the maker’s own documentation, reputable roundups and recurring themes in verified buyer feedback. It does not come from a claim that every product passed through my hands.
How the site earns money
Links to Amazon are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the site earns a commission and you pay the same price. Brands cannot pay to be included or ranked. The full statement is on the affiliate disclosure page.

How picks get chosen
No lab coats and no claims we cannot back up. The method is research, a narrow reader in mind, and a willingness to say “skip this one.”
We do not claim hands-on testing. If a guide ever includes first-hand use, it will say so in plain words.
-
Start with one buyer
Each guide is written for a specific person, such as a high school infielder or a golfer with a slow swing. A pick that suits everyone usually suits nobody.
-
Name one winner
Every guide commits to a default recommendation. The other picks are there for a stated reason: a tighter budget, a different position, a wider foot.
-
Say what is wrong with it
Every pick comes with a downside or a person who should skip it. If a product has no drawback in the writeup, the writeup is not finished.
-
Show where the facts come from
Picks are built from manufacturer specs and documentation, reputable roundups, and patterns in verified buyer feedback.
-
Keep the money separate
The site earns a commission when you buy through an Amazon link, at no extra cost to you. Brands cannot pay to be included or ranked.
